She never planned on being a writer, but a doctor.
Laurie moved out of her parent's house once she graduated high school.
Mrs. Anderson attended Onondaga Community College for two years.
She transferred to Georgetown University in 1981.
Anderson eventually graduated from there in 1984, with a B.S.L.L. in Language and Linguistics.
Laurie married Greg Anderson after she graduated.
In 1985, Laurie gave birth to her first daughter, Stephanie Holcomb.
In 1987, Meredith Lauren joined the family.
Finally, in 1996, Laurie's first book, Ndito Runs was published. Later that same year, another one of her books came out, called Turkey Pox.
